On this page you will find tentative and slowly unfolding information for the one-person exhibition I'll be having in Hamilton in May 2026. I will update the info here as I figure things out. Thanks for your patience and support.
Exhibition Dates:
I have the exhibition space, called "LUCID artspace" from Saturday May 2 to Thursday May 21, 2026. This is confirmed.
Opening and Artist Talk:
Saturday May 9, 2026 - Noon to 5pm. Artist Talk 2:00pm. This is confirmed
What will Happen:
My intention is to try to be in the space as much as possible during the time I have the space (May 2-21) and my plan is to work on my practice and the show while I'm there. I may post updates of what I'm up to, as it happens, on my Instagram.
I recently wrote this to a friend:
I don't know really what I'm going to do yet, (although there are a gazillion ideas bouncing around - and some are solidifying...) and I'm going to hold onto that conviction of 'not knowing' through to the end of the show, as well as I can. Let me explain…
One thought I have is to spend the first week just acclimatizing myself to the space, schlepping stuff from Toronto, and setting things up. Then have an opening, and maybe an artist’s talk, probably on the Saturday May 9, on the second weekend of the time I have the space for. I'll have to be there (and the only one there) anytime the gallery is open, so it will be sort of strange….
Another idea is to create some work while I’m there, or do things, making myself and the work available, and keeping busy. Meeting people by appointment, whatever comes up. It may totally bomb or it might be kind of fun and exciting.
Exhibition Essay
I'm hoping to have an artist friend write an essay for the show. I'm not yet sure when the essay will be ready.
Gallery Hours:
Not sure yet (except for the Opening). Visitors will be welcome to visit anytime while I'm in the gallery, but need to arrange and confirm a time with me so we know I'll be there. I'll try to post days and times I'm likely to be there, and days and times I'm likely to not be there. Contact with me can be by DM to my Instagram, or any other contact information you have for me, but please get confirmation from me before you come.
